Solution Delivery is at the core of every successful consulting project. To ensure success,
Forefront has a proven best practice methodology that can be customized to support projects
of various size and scope.

Technical Project Management

Upon delivering a successful solution, a Forefront Technical expert will manage the project from start to finish while effectively
communicating any issues or changes to the Client Team. This ensures the Project stays on budget and is delivered on time.

Each of the Phases of the Forefront Solution Delivery Methodology are detailed in the sections below:

Phase One: Initiation

In the initial phase of every consulting project we establish the controls and procedures that
you will use throughout the project. The activities of this phase include:

  • Project Kickoff
  • Define high level project scope
  • Develop Concept Phases project plan version
  • Develop project Communications Plan
  • Define the Change Management Process

Phase Two: Definition

Definition is the phase where the scope and details of the project are outlined and uncovered.

  • Gather Functional Requirements
  • Gather Technical Requirements
  • Develop Functional Design Specification

Phase Three: Design and Architecture

Once the definition of the solution is outlined, the team will begin the technical design and
architecture phase.

The activities of this phase include:

  • Develop Technical Infrastructure Design (TID)
  • Procure and Install Infrastructure Components
  • Develop Construction Design Document (CDD)
  • Develop Comprehensive Migration Plan (CMP)
  • Develop Training Requirements and Plan (TRP)
  • Develop Execution Phases project plan version

Phase Four: Construction

After the Technical Design is completed, the Technical Consultant will begin the
development of the solution.

The key objectives of the Construction Phase are:

  • Install and setup Dev Environment
  • Solution Development
  • Unit Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • Develop User Acceptance Test Plan
  • Develop User Acceptance Test Scenarios

Phase Five: Certification

After the solution is developed, we will work with the Client to certify the solution for

The key objectives of the Construction Phase are:

  • Deploy Solution to QA Environment
  • Test and verify user and data migration per CMP
  • Execute UAT
  • Install and set up Production Environment
  • Develop Training Materials per Training Requirements Plan

Phase Six: Release

Once Certification is completed, we will move to the Release Phase. During this phase we will
deploy the solution to Production.

The key objectives of the Release Phase are:

  • End User Training per TRP
  • Business Administration Training (per TRP)
  • System Administration Training (per TRP)
  • Develop System Support Document (SSD)
  • Develop Support and Maintenance Responsibility Matrix
  • Deploy Solution to Production
  • Go Live in Production

Phase Seven: Maintenance-Handover

After the Release Phase, Forefront will transition administration and maintenance of the
solution over to our Client.

The key objectives of the Maintenance - Handover phase are:

  • Transition Assistance
  • Production Support
  • Project Wrap-up
  • Submit Final Status Report
